S5E90 – Afraid to fall asleep.

I always think that it’s worse when something makes your hair stand on end with fear during the middle of the day. Like, at nighttime, it’s almost expected that something spooky can happen, and we can brush it off as that ancient part of our brain warning us that darkness = danger… right? The daylight might make things seem less scary – or at least, it’s easier to shake off the feeling of fear when the sun is shining, and there are people casually milling about.

S5E88 – Black handprints

It’s bad enough to feel like you’re being watched or followed by a living, breathing person. Whether it’s walking past the same person too many times at the grocery store, someone getting off at the same bus stop as you, or turning just in time to see a stranger in a crowd look away from you. That sort of thing can often be written off as a coincidence, especially if you get home safely and never see the person again. But what about when whoever, or whatever, is tracing your footsteps doesn’t have a face to put to it?

S5E87 – Several years have passed…

The variety of paranormal experiences has always fascinated me. Most of them are scary – that’s what happens when something inexplicable occurs: we get frightened. There isn’t much wriggle room for other emotions when you hear an animalistic scream from your empty basement, for example. But some stories are just unnerving – like, when the ghost appeared in your home, nothing bad happened, but you didn’t know what it wanted from you or what it was trying to say. Some sweet stories include a family reaching through the veil to reassure you or friendly neighborhood ghosts passing by to say hello.

S5E84: I don’t know what comes next…

What draws you to the paranormal, the haunted? Maybe you’ve experienced something for yourself – something you’ve spent years trying to write off as a coincidence despite a little voice in your ear telling you to look deeper into it; go on; you know you want to. Maybe it’s something you want to experience but never have, you urban explorers and paranormal investigators out there. Perhaps you’re a skeptic who likes a good story and a strong shiver down your spine – don’t worry, we won’t judge as long as you don’t.

Haunted Stores in Mexico E118

If you’ve been to Mexico or anywhere in Latin America, chances are you’ve been in a tienda Oxxo. These are the largest chain of convenience stores in all of Latin America and maybe even the most haunted. In today’s episode, Cristina and MJ talk about paranormal stories that take place in different Oxxo stores in Mexico, a haunted piñata store in Guadalajara, Mexico, and a haunted cafe. Oh, and of course, they had to mention Stockton, California’s own haunted Burlington Coat Factory. Cristina and MJ share these stories, have some laughs, and share their spooky recommendations, but first, Cristina reads a listener story.

S4E68 – It Feels Real…

Typically when unexplained phenomena occur to us, our first thought is to be afraid, whether due to sensational films or a natural survival reaction. We have a choice to make to either continue existing with the paranormal or do something about it. Today’s episode contains stories about tellers who question if the entity is good or evil and what should be done with it. Okay, ready to get spooked?
